Get the cleanest burn, zero tunneling, and maximum burn hours from your candle.
The All-Important First Burn
Burn until the melt pool reaches the entire perimeter of the jar (usually 2-3 hours). This prevents wax tunneling and ensures a smooth, even surface for all future burns.
Trim That Wick to 1/4 Inch
Before relighting every single time, trim your cotton wick to 1/4 inch (or pinch off the burnt wood wick ash). This prevents soot, keeps the flame gentle, and prolongs burn time.
Mind the 4-Hour Ceiling
Never burn candles for more than 4 consecutive hours. Give the glass and wax time to cool down before relighting to preserve delicate fragrance oils.
Safe Surface & Repurposing
Always place on a heat-resistant tray away from drafts, kids, and pets. Once 1/2 inch of wax remains, soak the jar in warm water and repurpose as a brush holder or planter!
